London has been having a ramen rave these days. Apart from the
existing ones, like Shoryu and Tonkotsu, there are now 2 newbies in town –
Kanada-Ya and Ippudo! Since I am ramen enthusiast, I immediately paid a visit
to Kanada-Ya. As I heard that their ramen created by secret recipe by their
founder, Kanada Kazuhiro.
After queueing for an hour, the waiters welcomed me in sincerely.
The setting was quite cozy and not too packed. Customers could choose hard/
moderate/ soft ramen and the intensity of the broth. I chose the moderate
Moyashi ramen with normal intensity broth. It was totally worth wait! The broth
was clear yet the flavor was intense. The charsiu was at its optimal state –
nicely grilled and not too oily. The veggies that went along with the ramen
added some freshness to the broth which made it even better.
‘Moyashi
Ramen – 18 hour pork bone broth, charsiu pork belly, wood ear fungus, nori and
spring onion topped with blanched beansprouts’ £11
Overall, I would highly recommend this little spot if you want to try a bowl of nice, hot and authentic ramen in town!
